The Eastland Lady Mavericks split their two district games last week and kept their hopes of claiming one of District 8-3A’s four playoff berths alive and kicking.
The Lady Mavs, now 3-2 in district play, opened the week with a 12-2 rout of Millsap. In that contest, Ana Cunningham held the Lady Bulldogs to just four hits through four innings of work to secure the win.
The Eastland offense gave Cunningham plenty of support. The Lady Mavs taxed Millsap for 12 hits, and took advantage of six MHS errors.
