Why Are There Pinwheels on the Courthouse Square?

Where is the nearest free hot dog lunch?

The blue pinwheel, a national symbol for child abuse prevention, represents the innocence of childhood. Its shape represents positive cycles of love and support. These pinwheels have been placed on the Courthouse Square in remembrance of children everywhere who need our help and support.

April is child abuse awareness and prevention month. During this month, the Eastland County Child Welfare Board (ECCWB) will share information on social media and in this newspaper about ways we, as a county, can help our children and families.
