The Eastland Lady Maverick and Cisco Lady Loboes made sure everyone knew they were on hand this past Friday at the Lion Relays in Albany. Both squads walked away from the meet with multiple medals.
Taylor Fullen and Adalyn Cunningham highlighted the Lady Mavericks’ efforts.
A junior, Fullen sprinted her way to a gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles race. She finished the race in a time of 17.18 seconds. Cunningham garnered a silver medal with a second- place finish in the girls’ pole vault competition. A senior, she soared to 9 feet, 6 inches in the event. Teammate McKenna Fambro was eighth overall at 8 feet.
