From the Mayor

are gorgeous! We even have pumpkin vines already. The weather forecast certainly looks promising for the next ten days. We might even get some more rain but not for a few days. That’s That reminds me, I’ve seen a lot of yards that need mowing. Please help keep Gorman beautiful. Keeping your yard well maintained also helps keep down the mosquito population as well as rodents. This is the time of the year I like best because it is not too cold and not too hot to work out in the yard or my shop.

We received 2 1/4 inches of rain at our house last week. I know the area farmers and ranchers always need rain, that is except when they are trying to get their hat cut and baled. I’ve seen a lot of round bales in the fields and a lot of calves and to me those are both good signs of a good start to the year.

Congratulations to all of our students that have been competing in spring sports and academic competitions! We have experienced success in athletics and academics. Thank you to all of the teachers and coaches that have been involved in training them.
