After a narrow miss at qualifying for the Class 3A state track and field meet on Friday, he now has the motivation to kick his way into the mix next year as a senior.
Hicks highlighted a stellar outing by Eastland athletes at the rain-marred regional meet at Abilene Christian University’s Elmer Gray Stadium.
