By Tommy Wells Kyndall Scitern and Delila Crain combined for 34 points and Monday night and powered the Gorman High School Lady Panthers to a convincing 64-21 victory over the Iredell Lady Dragons in the first round of the Class A schoolgirl state playoffs.
With the win, Gorman will advance to the area round this week to face off against Richland Springs. The site and location of the matchup will be released later today.
The Lady Panther defense set the tone for the rout early on. Gorman limited Iredell to just one basket from the field in the first eight minutes.
