Texas Comptroller distributes $1.1 in Monthly Sales Tax Revenue

Good increase in Allocations for City of Gorman

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has announced he will be sending cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for June, 6.8 percent more than in June 2023. These allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.

The City of Gorman has a sales tax rate of 2.000%. Net payment this period to Gorman from the Tx State Comptroller will be $17,090.65. The comparable payment in the prior year was $12,713.34; a change of + 34.43%. The YTD payment is $113,924.43; Prior Year Payment YTD was $94,783.44; a change of + 20.19%.
