Michael M. Murphey Seen By TPA Members At Convention

After a day and a half of trade show and General Press Information sessions, the 2024 Texas Press Association attendees were bussed in 3 buses to the rural Lucky B Bison Ranch in Bryan, Texas to eat a scrumptious meal of barbecue and lots of sweet tea and all the fixings. The members watched bison/buffalo in abundance, took pictures and visited among family and aquainticances.

Afterwards followed singer Cowboy Michael Martin Murphey who strummed his signed guitar and sang such songs as “They Boy From the Country”, which wrote for John Denver-remember him?, Streets of Laredo, Red River Valley as well as several other original songs, such as “I Come From a Long Line of Love”.

Things got quite hot in the sun and even after the sun was setting attended with a rainbow, in the distance. Finally God was good and a general down pour ensued and all were throughly sufficiently cooled for the rest of the concert.
