The Eastland Mavericks and Ranger Bulldogs both suffered tough losses last week in high school boys’ basketball action.

Eastland, which was scheduled to close out its 2022-23 season at home against Peaster on Tuesday, fell to 5-8 in District 6-3A action on Friday after dropping a 68-49 decision to the Early Longhorns.

Like Eastland, the Bulldogs couldn’t generate enough offense to emerge with a win.
