The Rising Star Lady Wildcats saw their 2022-23 basketball season come to an end on Monday with a 7219 loss to the Hermeligh Lady Cardinals in the bi-district round of the girls’ Class A state playoffs.
With the win, Hermleigh will advance to the second round to face Aspermont.
Rising Star, one of three girls’ teams in the county to advance to the postseason, had entered the playoffs as the No. 4 seed in their district.
