From the Mayor 7-29-2024
Just a short note to update everyone on projects progress. The water tower project is near completion and hopefully we will be back to normal operation soon. Also, the water tower will be painted white with a red top and red lettering on the north side that will spell out Welcome to GORMAN in red with an image of a peanut in-between the Welcome to and GORMAN. The downtown work ran into a couple of snags, but are back to work on it now. The Highway 6 project continues working it’s up Fisher Street relocating utilities. They will be excavating one side of Fisher eventually installing
I also want to emphasize that our remodeled library has reopened. Above is a picture of our new area for the small in stature. If you give your young ones a love of reading early, they will have a much easier time in school and the rest of their lives!
