Petty Officer 2nd class Vietnam Veteran - along with his wife, received his Quilt of Valor at his home recently. Marty and Jennie Reese had the honor of awarding it. Floyd, a Vietnam Vet eran on Navy River Patrol Boats (PRB), was assigned to the middle Riverine Force.
“The Quilts of Valor Foundation wishes to recognize you for your service to our nation. Though we may never know the extent of your sacrifice to protect and defend the Unit ed States of America, we award you this Quilt of Valor as an expression of gratitude from a grateful nation. Thank you for your service,” Marty and Jennie Reese conveyed at the Quilt of Valor presentation.
Quilts of Valor Foundation began in 2003 with a dream, literally a dream. Founder Cath erine Roberts’ son Nat was deployed in Iraq.
