A few months ago, I asked our School Resource Officers to look at and find ways to reach out to the youth of our community in an effort to do all that we can to stop teen suicide. This is a growing issue, not just in our community but nationwide.
Not only did they provide us with information and Eddie Edwards came to me with a plan to do a night of prayer and discussion to reach out to our youth. Eddie Edwards and Auston Rose
coordinated the Night of Worship event at the Majestic Theatre. There was an outstanding turn out. They fed the youth hamburgers and hotdogs, had music, testimonials, and a message about God’s word. It was stressed to all, that each of their lives matter to us and they are loved and cared about, but more than that, God loves each of them and they are here for a reason.
