The Eastland Mavericks will be looking to break a tough 2-game losing streak this Friday when they host the Brady Bulldogs.
The Mavericks, who have dropped their last two games by just two points, will face off with Brady in a key District 5-3A showdown. A win over the Bulldogs would propel Eastland back into the chase for the district title.
Eastland struggled to get its offense going last week against Clifton. Playing without running back Cayden Alford, the Mavericks were held without a first down until midway through the first half. The team, as a while, managed just 13 points en route to suffering its second straight 1-point loss.
