Relatives of Robert Walter (R.W.) and Nettie Smith, long ago couple of Eastland, had a reunion on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. The Smith’s had 13 children.
Cousins, representing 5 of their children, met in Eastland for the reunion. They came in from their homes in Illinois, Massachusetts, Arizona, and Texas. The Smith relatives there represented the following Smith children – Homer, Johnson, Eldon, Nina, and Belma.
Fun started Friday night for supper at Billy’s BBQ located on the Eastland courthouse square. Name tags were needed since we had not seen some of them for 20 to 30 years or longer.
