The Eastland Maverick turned in an impressive outing this past Saturday at the Class 3A state cross country meet in Round Rock. The Mavericks, paced by a top 15 run from Andrew Hicks, finished sixth in the overall team standings.
Eastland finished 19th 193 points. Lytle won the 3A team title, edging out Holliday.
Hick and Sammy Herre ra highlighted the Mavs’ outing on the Old Settlers Park trail. Hicks finished 15th overall with a 16 minutes, 35.5 seconds.
