Mavs place 6 on all-district football squad

The Eastland Mavericks capped off their 2024 football season with some postseason awards recently.

Eastland placed six players on the 5-3A all-district football squad, including Cayden Alford. The heart and soul of the Mavs’ defense, Alford was a two-selection as a first-team all-district performer. He was named to the first-team as both a running back and a linebacker.

Cason Browning and Brenden Foust also received high praise from the district’s coaches. Browning was a second-team pick as a running back, and a second-team selection as a linebacker. Foust was a second-team pick as an outside linebacker.
