Great men of old and philosophers of every age have asked the question: what is truth?
This writer is neither philosopher nor great, but I do know that nothing can be called truth or lie, unless there is an objective standard outside of itself by which it is measured. Otherwise it is subjective, one’s opinion, and we know that opinions change if it benefits self. Whether one holds to truth or lie can be known. Truth is that which verifies so we communicate that to one another.
Our Creator God established a standard by which we measure purity, goodness, relationships, love, conduct and other virtues. His standards are founded on HIS character, not our opinions and are recorded in the Bible.
