The Cisco College basketball team has six international players this season, recruited by Head Coach Brock Kimball. They come from England, France, Russia and Israel, and despite challenges, all have found surprising benefits of living in Cisco, Texas.
Three players recently discussed their challenges and successes on the hill: Sarah Racaud of Toulouse, France; Tyra Phelan of London; and Arina Dzhuldieva of Moscow.
Their first challenge was getting here in the first place. For Racaud, “My dad got in contact with someone in France that knew Coach Brock, and I got in contact like this, and he took me and I came.”
