236 Acres burn in County; Contained as of February 2
( ECT Staff, Submitted Photos) 236 Acres burned in Eastland County this weekend but was 100% contained as of Feb. 2 due to the diligence of Eastland County Fire Departments and the Texas A &M Forestry Service. Carbon, Cisco, Eastland, Olden, Ranger, Rising Star, Eastland County Sheriff’s Dept., Texas DPS, Texas A&M Forest Service and many citizens assisted in this large effort. Eastland County has reissued the Burn Ban, effective 02/03/2025. Eastland County is very dry, experiencing higher temperatures combined with wind and very dry fuels which makes conditions susceptible to fires. (Submitted Report)
