Cisco Police Department

This is Jerome Allen Serna of Roswell New Mexico. On February 22,2023 he was stopped by Officer James Thomas and Sgt. Derek Gunstanson for not having a visible license plate on his vehicle. During an investigation it was discovered that Serna was transporting three illegal non citizens to the metroplex area. With the assistance of Lt. Lee Risdon, the three passengers and Serna were detained and taken to Cisco Police Department where an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent became involved. This investigation also revealed over $1000.00 cash and an illegal drug. All four suspects were housed in Eastland County Jail. The three illegal non citizens were later taken to Blue Bonnet Federal Detention Facility in Anson Texas. Serna has been charged with Posssesion of a Controlled Substance and Human Smuggling, both felonies. The three non citizens had already been handled by Customs Agents earlier in the month and at that time were released back into Mexico. Serna is currently free on bond.
