1-20 resurfacing Project continues

EASTLAND COUNTY-Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor recently began a resurfacing project on 1-20 which spans from mile marker 340 (just east of CR 306) to mile marker 349 (just west of Ranger). The project is approximately 9 miles long and will result in a new surface pavement of durable hot mix in this area.

During this work, motorists should expect daily eastbound travel lane closures from mile marker 342 to 349, and possible delays. Truck traffic, especially oversized loads, should seek an alternate route due to permit restrictions of 11-foot maximum vehicle width. This phase of construction, performing pavement repairs, is anticipated to be complete by May 1, 2025, weather permitting. Various entrance and exit ramp closures should also be expected during this time.
