By Tommy Wells Despite a home run from Myla Huffman and three RBI from Lauryne Hobbs, th Eastland Lady Mavericks dropped a 16-8 decision to the Peaster Greyhounds on March 5.
With the loss, Eastland fell to 7-6 for the season and, more importantly, opened district play with an 0-1 mark.
The Lady Mavericks showed plenty of op offensively. Eastland pounded out 11 hits in the contest, including a home run by Huffman and a run-scoring double off the bat of Adyson Carroll.
