Many Americans treasure the privilege of being born in the United States of America. My generation learned about its founding when we were in school. Those of us, who are Believers, support it in our prayer life.
First of all, we must care about this enough to take the time to bring our concerns before the Lord. I mention each level of our governmental structure, federal, state, county and city, committing each one of the leadership of our Lord. Our Biblical pattern is Isaiah 33:22, “The Lord is our judge, the Lord if our lawgiver, the Lord is our king.”
I have made it my business to know the names of the positions that have been elected to serve me. I often mention their names in prayer. For those who appear to not be serving the Lord, I pray for their salvation. I bless those known to be Christians.
