It is with both heavy hearts and joyous memories that we celebrate the life of Deloris Elaine Jones, affectionately known as "Nubbin," who passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on June 7, 1950, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, Deloris was a beloved daughter of Carroll Horton and Viola Estelene (Reppond) Horton.
Deloris spent her life embracing adventure and the great outdoors, particularly relishing her time at the lake. She forged a remarkable career as a truck driver, where she experienced the open road and built camaraderie with fellow drivers. She exemplified determination and dedication throughout her life.
Family was at the heart of Deloris's world. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, particularly her sisters, Sheridan Scott and Patsy Armstrong, who remain to carry forth her spirit. Deloris was a woman of faith, finding strength and solace in her Baptist beliefs.
