James Coughlin and Brooklyn Sanchez capped their final prep season on the track with a memorable effort at the Region I-IA Track and Field Championships at Elmer Gray Stadium in Abilene.
Coughlin finished 12th in the regional standings in the boys’ 200- meter race. A multi-sport standout at RHS, he turned in a time of 24.08 seconds.
Sanchez, who also starred in multiple sports for the Lady Bulldogs, was 11th in the girls’ shot put with a throw of 28 feet, 7 ¾ inches.
