These were the two people that customers saw at the end of the line at the Cookie Walk on Saturday in downtown Cisco at the Broken X Winery. Cindy Webb on the left weighed the boxes of cookies, and Pete Loftin on the right did the math on his computer at $10 per pound. Both are Cisco residents.
According to Kalynn Meyer, President of Cisco Strong, 156 full boxes of cookies were sold, raising approximately $2,500. This money will fund the Cisco High School Scholarship along with other community projects, she said. “Thanks to the bakers who donated their time in making the cookies along with all the people that came out to buy them,” Meyer said. “We had an amazing event and hope to see everyone at this year’s Cisco TX Pie Fest the 3rd Saturday in October.” - Linda Spetter
