Unofficial results of the May 3rd election show that Rising Star citizens have voted for the reauthorization of Local Sales Tax and Use Tax in The City of Rising Star, at the rate of one-fourth of one percent, to continue providing revenue for Maintenance and Repair of Municipal Streets. The vote was 65 for the reauthorization; 7 against. Results will be official when canvased.
