RANGER, Texas — The Ranger College Rangers swept North Central Texas College Lions in a baseball doubleheader on Friday April 19, 2025 at Ellis Burks Field, earning a series win.
Game 1 Recap: Ashton Fisher drove in four runs on four hits in the 16-9 win for game one. Fisher hit a solo home run in the first, then added a two-run single and an RBI double during a 10-run sixth inning that gave Ranger control of the game. The Rangers tallied 12 hits. Thomas Barnhart also homered and drove in four runs. Tui Amosa had two hits and two walks. Ranger drew eight walks total and turned one double play.
Clint Burkey started on the mound for the Rangers and surrendered eight hits and six runs over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Christian Sanchez and Abel Anzaldua each appeared in relief, with Sanchez striking out 2 batters and Anzaldua striking out four.
