Robert Butler appointed mayor pro-tem for Ranger

By Tommy Wells Robert Butler got the job no one else wanted on May 8 at a called meeting of the Ranger City Council.

Butler, after former mayor pro-tem Jared Calvert declined to continue in the position, was appointed to the role unanimously by the board.

With the appointment, Butler will serve as the city’s No. 2 executive of-FHUEHKLQGPDRUKDUOLH Archer, who was sworn LQWR RIFH HDUOLHU LQ WKH meeting, as were Butler and councilwoman Vickie Doyle. Archer, Butler and Doyle were all re-elected by voters in the recent May 3 election.
