Lyric Art Center in Eastland, Texas has curated Blue Collar, an exhibition of regional artists. Gary Ford and Beth Pearson from Eastland and Kirstyn and William Wright from Decatur respond to their rural Texas surroundings.
Blue Collar art exhibition and reception presents interpretations of labor in West Texas, using materials of clay, barbed wire, paint and charcoal and motifs of cowboy hats, work boots and wind turbines.
Lyric Art Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established to foster and promote the arts. Located in a historic theater, the Lyric is a champion of the arts across the region. Blue Collar is the Lyric’s latest initiative to showcase the region’s community and cultural relevance, re-energize Eastland’s historic theater and champion the arts across the region.
