It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Jayne Mae Jones, who departed this life on May 24, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jayne was born on April 23, 1942, in Cisco, Texas, to William and Ida Mae (Lane) Cooke. She lived a life full of love and adventure, marrying her soulmate, Wayne Jones, on August 1, 1958, in Snyder, Texas.
Jayne’s spirit shone brightly through her deep commitment to her community and her faith. A devoted member of the First Methodist Church of Eastland, she actively contributed her time and talents to the Eastland Women's Club, Eastland Lions Club, and especially the Eastland Child Welfare Board, where she poured her heart into helping others. Those who knew her cherished her warm smile and nurturing nature, and many will remember her passionate love for shopping—she truly could shop until she dropped!
