This is my story on Tom Landry. I took my boys to the Old Timers Game in San Antonio. It was Stallback for the Cowboys, Kenny Anderson for the Bengels, with my three sons and also the original Tom Landry statue. The game was great and Drew Pearson caught a Hail Mary pass in the end zone to win the game. I went down after the game and Mr. Landry was signing signatures and I asked him if I could talk to him away from the table as he turned around to tell me O.K., he said, “where did you get that,” I replied we made it for you. As we talked I explained to him I needed his permission, he looked up to the sky to the right and said, “If I tell you it is OK you will think I am very vain, he then said, “I have to get back with the boys Cliff but go ahead and treat me with respect.” —1991 Cliff Lindsay
