Improvements could be in store for City Park

There could be a few more reasons to enjoy the Eastland City Park in the future. Especially if the Eastland City Council and the Eastland Lions Club match up.

The Eastland City Council voted unanimously to contribute $25,000 to the Lions Club’s efforts to have new playground equipment installed at the city park on Monday evening. The funds will come from the city’s hotel/motel funds.

“It’s a great idea, enhancing the park,” said Eastland Mayor Larry Vernon.
