This young reader has found lots of interesting books in the children’s corner of Gorman’s Charlie Garrett Memorial Library.
Gorman’s Charlie Garret Memorial Library offers an excellent selection of books and resources for summer reading - or for anytime of the year, for that matter. The library is also a quite and relaxing place to spend time browsing the inventory. It features sections for genealogy, history, on CD’s, to name a few. Director Vickie Perry notes that around 1/2 of the Children’s books are new. Please don’t pass up the section on local, county and state history: A source of fascinating facts about our area.
A recent renovation gives the library a fresh, new inviting atmosphere. A group of local men are now meeting there for coffee on several mornings, we were told. The library also offers WiFi services.
