I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July! As you celebrate, please stop and remember all of those that gave their lives so many years ago to win the freedom we celebrate on the 4th, but also all of those since then that have forfeited their lives to maintain our freedom and those that have served and are serving today to preserve it! Our country has stood as an example for freedom and democracy for over 200 years for the rest of the world. We are not perfect, not as a people or a country, but I believe we are all striving to be better. One day I hope we will be able to accomplish all the ideals set forth in our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution!
Please take care of your pets! If you own a dog, please keep them on your property unless they are leashed and you are walking them. Unless you are a breeder, please have your pets spade, especially cats. We have way too many cats that don’t really seem to be owned by anyone. Although we do not have an animal control of-FHUUJKWRWKHFWFD still issue citations for violations of our public ordinance that addresses these issues. There are restrictions on how many animals you may keep on your property, the kind of animals you may keep, and the care they receive. It is a federal law, the pets kept outside must have accessible water and food and an area of shelter from the weather and that includes direct sun. Also, if a pet is kept on a chain of wire tether, they are to be free from being tangled up with anything!
