For two years, Head Baseball Coach David White of Cisco College has set his sights on building a pitching lab on the Cisco campus. The lab would be available not only for baseball players but also for softball players and young athletes in the community.
White’s goal is nearing reality. Plans have been made for the baseball program’s current weight room building to be extended by 90 feet to house such a pitching lab. White and Assistant Coach Cam Vega have raised close to $80,000 in contributions and donated building services, but still need $20,000 to start construction on the pitching lab as well as to purchase nets, lights, turf, mounds, etc.
“We have raised close to $80,000 up to this point,” White said. “We depend on parents, friends, friends of the program, explayers and anyone that would want to help us out to make our little program grow.”
