The Sacred Stone stands in the Ranger Vietnam Me It was dedicated August 4th, 2007.

Engrave into the stone are the names of U.S. Military personnel from Ranger who served in the country of Vietnam during the Vietnam War, as well as those who served during the Vietnam Era.

Commander Joel Jimenez, DAV Chapter 41, Wichita, Tx and Larry Monroe, VFW Post 4136 Commander at that time, both Ranger natives, were returning from the Big Spring Hospital when the to constructing a monument for Ranger Vietnam Veterans. Commander Jimenez said his brother, the late Raymond Jimenez, had mentioned to him that it would be a great idea. From that point, everything escalated, Larry Monroe, former Ntl. VFW Aide de - Camp and DAV Ch.
