It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rae Jean Webb, age 67, of Baird, Texas, who passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025.
Rae was born on September 9, 1957 in Baird, Texas to Gene and Bessie Elinor Swinson. She grew up, graduated, and was married in Baird. She spent her adult years in Cisco, Haskell, and Baird.
We remember Rae as a kind and gentle soul whose love for children touched countless lives. She dedicated her career to caring for little ones in her home, where her warmth and laughter made every child feel safe and special. Later, she continued to pour her heart into the school system, encouraging and supporting students with patience and compassion. Whether she was tying a shoelace, offering a listening ear, or celebrating a child’s achievement, her joy in helping young people grow was evident to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, care, and encouragement will live on in the hearts of the many children and families she blessed.
