The Eastland Mavericks kicked off their 2025 cross country season on Friday, Aug. 15, with a solid showing at the Brock Eagle 2-Mile Meet. The Eastland runners finish in the Top 45 and finished third in the final team standings.
boys’ team had all seven Joshua netted the top spot in the standings with 31 points. Stephenville edged out the Mavericks for second with 66 points. Eastland posted 99.
Glyn McClesky and Miguel Hernandez led the Mavericks’ effort. McCleskey raced his was to a seventh-place finish with a time of 11 minutes and .32 seconds. Hernandez came in at of 11:04.62.
