The Ranger College women’s soccer team opened their 2025 sea son on August 22 with a statement performance, battling to a 0-0 draw on the road against nation Junior College on Fri day evening.
The Rangers showed throughout the match, holding off a relentless TJC attack that pro duced 14 shots, includ ing six on goal. Sopho more goalkeeper Sara a standout performance between the posts, re cording six saves to secure the shutout and preserve the tie.
Despite being out shot, Ranger College maintained composure and organization in the backline, anchored by defenders Meriem De La Iglesia, Giovanna Mingo, and Laura Ruiz, who frustrated TJC’s fielders Sara Cervantes and Sofia Moreno Sa bater also played key roles in keeping the Rangers competitive throughout the full 90 minutes.
