Cisco’s Future on the Ballot: Why the Development Corporation Matters CISCO, TEXAS, November 4, Cisco voters will face an important decision: whether to abolish or keep the Cisco Economic Development Corporation (CEDC).

The CEDC, established in 1994, has served as the city's economic development arm for more than 30 years. Its mission has been clear from the start: attract and retain businesses, create jobs, and invest in projects that strengthen the community.

While recent concerns and a few unpopular decisions have stirred debate, many citizens and business leaders, including myself, believe dissolving the CEDC would harm Cisco's ability to grow and compete.
