Keep Cisco Moving Forward: Vote Against Proposition A Letter to the Editor of the Eastland County Today I have lived in Cisco all my life—born and raised right here. I have seen with my own eyes what our downtown area looked like before the Economic Development Corporation was created. Those who were here remember: empty storefronts, limited opportunities, and a community struggling to find momentum.
Since then, I have witnessed—and been blessed to be a part of—the growth of Cisco’s economic development. Starting in the early 2000’s, the Cisco Economic Development Corporation began taking bold steps forward, investing in our future, and working to move Cisco upward in a positive way. From that point on, our town has experienced new businesses, revitalized buildings, job growth opportunities, and projects that put Cisco back on the map as a place of progress and opportunity. This has not happened overnight, nor by accident. It has taken years of vision, hard work, and dedication by many who care deeply about Cisco’s future. To see that progress put at risk would be heartbreaking. Dissolving the Cisco Economic Development Corporation or folding it into city government through Proposition A would undo years of steady growth and weaken the very structure that has helped us get this far. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, we have a choice to make. If you want to keep Cisco growing, thriving, and moving forward, I urge you to vote AGAINST Proposition A. Let’s keep the Cisco Economic Development Corporation strong and independent, so that all of the hard work invested in building our future will not be lost.
Sincerely, Tammy McCulloch Loran Former Councilwoman and Mayor of Cisco Cisco, Texas
