The Eastland Cham- lions with their message ber of Commerce is proud to announce that Dr. Sandy Hazelip and Ellie Hamby will serve as the 2025 Grand Marshals for the beloved Old Rip Parade, a highlight of the annual RipFest celebration.
Known worldwide as “The Travelin’ Grannies,” Hazelip and Hamby captured hearts and headlines when they set out to visit all seven continents in 80 days in honor of their 80th birthdays. Their inspiring journey celebrated friendship, adventure, and living life to the fullest at any age - and now they’re sharing that story with the world through their just-released book, Around the World in 80 Days: The Travelin’ Grannies’ Adventure.
