Norman Gain Christian, 93, of Stephenville, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in the Stephenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Highland, Texas on February 13, 1932 to Rufus and Jewel Christian. Mr Christian attended school in Clairette, Texas. He had a very strong work ethic his entire life. He worked for the Dublin Dr. Pepper Bottling Company for 1 year, Southwestern Bell Telephone for 37 years, Hardwick Butane for 5 years, and was an Eastland County Commissioner for 20 years.
Mr. Christian enjoyed his coffee group at the Ranger, Texas Dairy Queen for many years and playing dominoes at the Stephenville Senior Citizen Center. He was an avid football fan. He attended the Erath County Cowboy church.
His large family was important to him He is survived by his wife of 54 years, June and his 6 children, Deborah Feinstein of Kingman, Arizona, Shirley (Andy) Cash of San Angelo, Texas, Dale (Ginger) Christian of Dallas, Texas, Gary(Amy) Christian of Woodruff, S. Carolina, Jon Christian of Winona, Texas, and Debbie (Glynn) Wilson of Stephenville, Texas. He is also survived by a brother, Owen Gail Christian of Ft. Worth, Texas. He had 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers, Bill, Sonny, and Pat, his sister, Yvonne, his daughter, Donna Nail, and his grandson, Clay Christian.
A celebration of life will be held at the Christian Family reunion in February 2026.
