Eastland County Retired Teachers met Monday, October 13th at Myrtle Wilks, Laguna Room, Cisco at 11:30. Baked potatoes with trimmings, tea, and dessert were served.
Gail Morris, President, introduced Rhonda Bilbry of “Bilbry Tours, Abilene. Rhonda recounted recent tours and those to come in the future. Only last week a Monarch celebration was held in Fredericksburg, Texas, with the releasing of hundreds of Monarch butterflies. Included in the Bilbry day trip were activties, such as browsing the downtown and shopping in Fredericksburg and visiting Vereins Kirche, a splice of a 19th century church.
Longer trips are also available such as “Grapevine Christmas” and “Autumn in the Aboretum. Then, this Saturday Rhonda will be the tour guide for a safari to Mairobi, Kenya. “More like glamiping,” Rhonda reported, “a trip complete with all of the necessities and even a guard to keep away the lions.”
