By Joyclyn Wicks, MD, and Chat GPT At 74, Boogie Tyson still slices across Lake Leon every summer, keeping up a tradition that began decades ago. Since returning full time in 2005, she has made skiing the centerpiece of her family gatherings.
She’s joined by her niece, Dr. Joyclyn Wicks—Little Miss Eastland 1976—with Wicks’ husband, Russell, driving the boat. Granddaughter Jordan Montgomery, along with great-nieces Bailey and Ayden Wicks, add to the crew. Cheering from shore are great-nephews Jace and Josh Tyson.
A Ranger College retiree, Tyson earned a Master of Trades in Hospitality in 2019.
