Smiles, laughter, and air on Saturday as families gathered on Lake Leon at La Mancha Lake Ranch for the seventh annual CAST for Kids event. The community centered day gave people of all abilities the chance to experience the excitement and fun in the great outdoors.
The morning began bright and early with a hearty breakfast, from McDonalds, to fuel up the anglers before they citement grew as boats gear was handed out, with participants eager to see what they could reel in. The lake didn’t disappoint — many Cheers erupted from the docks and boats as proud anglers showed off their catches. wrapped up, everyone gathered together for a hot lunch catering by Texas Farm Bureau. Families and volunteers shared stories from the morning, celebrating bigger smiles. The highlight of the afternoon came during the awards ceremony, where each participant was recognized for their efforts and achievements on the water. The sense of accomplishment was evident as they held their awards with pride.
To top off the day, everyone cooled down with sweet, icy snow cones donated by Tropical Ice— the perfect with sunshine and laughter.
