The 2nd Tin Can Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, beginning at 10 a.m. in the De Leon City Auditorium. Itwillbeadayoffunhelping to preserve the memory of the railroad years on the Texas Central and later the MKT Railroad. It is cosponsored by the De Leon Area Historical Society and the Walnut Springs Historical Association.
Special speakers will be Steve Goen of
photographs, film and Wichita Falls who is a railroad documenter using authoring several books including Miss Katy of the Lone Star State. Also, CorrenderTaylor ofAbilene who is a railroad enthusiast and photographer will be speaking. He is the railroad historian for Abilene Preservation League. Several area museums will have railroad displays along with other groups and railroad vendors.
