HOBBS, New Mexico — October 25, 2025 — The Ranger College women’s cross country team turned in a strong performance at the NJCAA Region V Championships, placing fourth overall in a competitive field hosted by New Mexico Junior College. The Lady Rangers were led by freshman standout Elizabeth Nakito, who finished third individually with another s cho ol - r e c o r d - l eve l performance.
Nakito Leads the Charge
Nakito continued her impressive freshman season with a third-place finish in 17:36.4, the fastest 5K ever run by a Ranger College athlete at a regional meet. Her podium finish anchored a deep and balanced team effort that kept the Lady Rangers among the top programs in the region.
